Coverage for Checks, ACH transactions, and recurring bill payments made with a debit card.
Courtesy Pay
Your checking comes with our standard Courtesy Pay service. In the event that there are not enough funds to cover your transaction(s) on your checking account, Courtesy Pay service will strive to pay:
- Checks
- Other transactions made using your checking account number, such as automatic payments (ACH)
- Automatic bill payments including recurring debit card transactions
With Courtesy Pay Extra, we will strive to pay the following:
- Everyday debit card transactions
To utilize Courtesy Pay Extra, you must opt in by clicking here, log in to online banking and select Secure Forms, call us at 910.577.7333 or visit a branch.
Overdrafts are paid at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. However, sometimes we are required to pay because of the way a merchant processes a transaction, even if there are insufficient funds available.
Each transaction that is covered by Courtesy Pay and Courtesy Pay Extra will result in a $35 overdraft fee. There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account. "Multiple presentments". Any item or transaction can be presented for multiple times, which is beyond the control of the Credit Union. Each presentment will be charged a separate overdraft fee even though it may be for a repeat presentment.

Automatic Transfers
These options may be less expernsive in the event that your checking account does not have enough funds to cover your transaction(s). We can set up automatic transfers from the following options: You may transfer from your:
- Savings (limit of six (6) transfers per month)
- Money Market (limit of six (6) transfers per month)
- Line of Credit* (unlimited transfers as long as funds are available)
- Other Marine Federal accounts you're authorized on
